    The Way Down Film Festival – Columbus’ first high-profile, short film festival – will come to the Fountain City from Friday, Oct. 21 – 22. More than 100 short films from all over the world were submitted, and 47 were chosen to be featured as a celebration of the most innovative voices in narrative, documentary, and experimental categories from all over the world.

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Portions of two Augusta-area roads will be closed this week for utility and road work, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

One lane of Wrightsboro Road between Belair Road and Barton Chapel Road will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Deans Bridge Road will also have single-lane closures on the northbound and southbound sides from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday

GDOT officials said drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible.
