(RNN) - Only 106,000 people have signed up for health insurance following the rollout of the Affordable Care Act healthcare exchanges, according to government officials.

On Thursday, President Barack Obama announced that those who had received a cancellation notice from their insurance company may get to keep their individual plan for one more year.

Hawaii became the most recent state to legalize same-sex marriage. The governor signed the bill on Wednesday. Same-sex couples can get married in the state starting Dec. 2.
