Congressman Barrow hosts breakfast, forum for veterans

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Congressman John Barrow hosted his Breakfast for Veterans forum at the VFW, post 649.

Veterans in the 12th district with questions about their benefits were asked to come out. They spoke directly to Congressman Barrow and staff about medical care, pension benefits and dealing with the state of Georgia.

Congressman Barrow said too often, the questions don't get answered because the people who have them are hard to ahold of. He said his goal today was to bring everyone together in one room, so they could be led directly to the right person, with the right answer.

This is an annual event for Congressman Barrow, who hosts the event every year to say 'thank you' to Veterans.
