MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - $10,000 in music equipment gone. One local musician is hoping to strike the right note to get it back before his next gig.

No matter how slim, there is always hope.

"You know, the people that stole my stuff, I forgive you. But, bring it back," said musician John Angotti.

Angotti composes and performs rock 'n' roll, Christian, and inspirational songs across the globe.

On Saturday, he returned from the road to his Memphis home to find something missing from the driveway.

"It's just a plain white, 5-by-8 trailer," explained Angotti.

A trailer full of stuff he used to make a living.

"Stuff like mic chords, dozens of them worth hundreds (of dollars). Plus a light kit, electrical gear, a PA system, stands, power amps, my PA board. The list goes on and on," said Angotti.

Angotti is hoping he does not have to buy the equipment again.

"If I had to buy it all over again, it'd be about $10,000," Angotti said.

While Angotti confirmed his family is safe and it was just replaceable stuff, he cannot help but feel violated, like something must be done.

"For me, it is time to stop crime in Memphis. It's time for all of us to get together to see what's the root of all of this thieving and robbing," declared Angotti.

While it may be a long shot, Angotti said he has faith.

Without the stuff in that trailer, Angotti said he will have to figure out some alternatives for some upcoming gigs.

If you know anything about this theft, call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH or go to the Crime Stoppers website here: http://memphis.crimestoppersweb.com/
