A Ranger with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources was the star witness in day three of the trial of Paul Bennett, the Cumming man accused of killing two boys in a boating accident on Lake Lanier in June, 2012.

Mark Stephens spent most of Thursday being questioned by Bennett's attorney's about his actions after the accident. Stephens is the ranger that arrested Bennett, administered field sobriety tests and requested a warrant to have his blood tested for alcohol.

Prosecutors maintain Bennett was drunk when his boat collided with another boat killing 9-year-old Jake Prince and his 13-year-old brother Griffin. Bennett has been charged with 8 counts of homicide by vessel.
