Man told deputies prostitute stole his truck

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

An Augusta man told deputies a prostitute stole his truck from the hotel where the two were staying, according to an incident report from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

The man said he was staying at the Quality Inn at 1455 Walton Way Saturday night with a prostitute, according to the report. The woman left with his truck sometime between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. and didn't return.

When the man called the prostitute around 9:20 a.m. Sunday and asked her to bring the truck back, she didn't come back, according to the report.

The man didn't know the prostitute's name but described her as about 5 feet, 5 inches tall with brown shoulder-length hair and a slim build, according to the report.

The truck is a tan 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck with damage to the right side.

Anyone with information about the incident can call the sheriff's office at 706-821-1020.
