17-year-old injured in Hancock Co. rollover crash

HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A juvenile was injured following a single vehicle accident in Hancock County Saturday morning.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office says a 17-year-old driver was traveling on State Route 103 near State Route 698 around 11 AM when she lost control of her vehicle and went off the right side of the road. After overcorrecting, the driver then went off the left side of the road where her vehicle struck a cable junction box before traveling into a field. When the vehicle entered the field it rolled several times, before ejecting the driver and coming to rest on its top.

The driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance and her condition is unknown at this time.

The sheriff's office says the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and the vehicle's air bags did not deploy.

The driver was cited for operation without reasonable control and for not wearing a seat belt.
