11 men charged in multi-county drug bust

UPDATE:

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division said eleven of the four people arrested are in Richmond County's custody.

A car believed to be traveling with cocaine was trailed by the RCSDND into Tailferro County. That's when Deputies in that county stopped the car and found two kilos of cocaine.

Authorities in Richmond County said that's what led them to 10 search warrants for homes in Burke County, Keysville, Augusta, Grovetown and Hephzibah.

RCSDND said all of the merchandise found will be forfeited to the state before it is destroyed or sold. They also told Fox 54 none of the suspects in custody are cooperating with authorities.

Officers arrested 11 people and seized drugs, guns and vehicles in a multi-county drug trafficking investigation, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

Officers executed search warrants Thursday at 10 locations in Columbia, Burke, Richmond and Taliferro counties, according to the sheriff's office They seized 10 firearms, crystal meth, marijuana, more than 2 kilograms of cocaine, 11 vehicles, jewelry and $135,857.

The 11 people who were arrested and charged are:

Marvin Leon Hamilton was arrested at his residence at 2015 Reserve Lane in Augusta and charged with possession of marijuana  and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Ricky Calvin Jones was arrested at his residence at 2015 Reserve Lane in Augusta and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer.

Lamar Devon Coleman was arrested at 2015 Reserve Lane in Augusta and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Demetrius Dewayne Myers was arrested at his residence at 2112 Reserve Lane in Augusta and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Tyree Berria was arrested at 169 Dove Drive in Keysville and charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute,

Ronald Eugene Jordan was arrested at 471 Martin Luther King Drive in Keysville and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Danny Wright was arrested at 199 Tyrone Brooks Drive in Keysville and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Ricardo Smith was arrested at 199 Tyrone Brooks Drive in Keysville and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Keith Lamont Harden was arrested at 471 Martin Luther King Drive in Keysville and charged with Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and theft by receiving stolen firearm.

Gregory Lee Ivey Jr. was arrested at 199 Tyrone Brooks Drive in Keysville and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Winston James O'Connell was arrested on Interstate 20 in Taliaferro County and charged with trafficking cocaine.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, Columbia County Sheriff's Office, Burke County Sheriff's Office and the Taliferro County Sheriff's Office and the Richmond County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division investigated this case and made the arrests.
