Warren Co. searching for lost inmate

WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

A Dayton man failed to return to the Warren County Jail after a funeral furlough on Tuesday, October 29, 2013.

Sherman Edmonds was granted the furlough by the Warren County Common Pleas Court to attend the funeral of a family member.

He was required to return to the jail at 4:30 p.m. Officers say he failed to return.

Investigators have checked his last known address but have not been able to locate him. 

Edmonds was being held on a felony theft charge.  He now faces an additional felony charge of Escape.

Edmonds is described as follows:

  • Black Male, 53
  • 5'11" 205
  • Black hair which is graying with a goatee
  • Last known address: 4500 Catalpa Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45405
