One woman dead after crash in Whitewater Township

WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A young woman succumbs to the injuries she received in a crash early Thursday morning.

Alexis Anderson, 27, of North Bend, died on Friday. Officers say Anderson was traveling northbound in the 3800 block of Lawrenceburg Road around 4:40 Thursday morning when she lost control of her vehicle and traveled across the opposite lane of travel. 

Anderson's vehicle then exited the left (west) side of the roadway and traveled through the grassy shoulder before impacting a utility pole on the passenger side.

Anderson was cut from her vehicle and then taken to Good Sam Hospital. Anderson was subsequently transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital where she died of her injuries.

Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.  Officers say Anderson was wearing her seatbelt at the time of this crash.

This crash remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit.
