Dozens of cars vandalized overnight in Sunderland

SUNDERLAND, MA (WSHM) -

Some residents faced a rude wakeup call Sunday morning, as police are looking for whomever vandalized 40 to 45 vehicles overnight.

Police said the incidents happened in the areas of Squire Village Apartments and Silver Lane.

All of the vehicles suffered punctures to tires. Some had just one tire damaged, while others had all of their tires destroyed.

Police said it will cost $6,000-$10,000 to replace the tires.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sunderland Police Department.

    One local business is an eyesore for many of its neighbors.  The Dollar Tree store on Allen Street in Springfield has neighbors upset because of the constant trash around the building. The trash problem has gotten so bad that the city of Springfield is planning to file with the courts to enforce the city ordinances.
