Two armed men rob employees at Aiken restaurant

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office tells Fox 54 the two suspects they are looking for in this case are male. No other details are available at this time.

The search is on for two suspects, after an armed robbery at Duke's BBQ in Aiken Saturday night.

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office said happened just before 10P.M. Owner Rauly Judy said his son and two other employees were taking a truck from his restaurant in Blackville, to the location off Whiskey Road, when it happened.

Judy said, "Last night two guys came in and as my son was unloading the van, they came in from the backside of the BBQ place, ran in and put guns to their heads."

Judy said the two men dressed in ski masks, shorts and white tennis shoes-one with a sawed-off shotgun, the other a pistol, made the three lay face down on the ground and empty their pockets. But one employee wasn't listening.

Judy said, "From  my understanding, they asked him to lay down and he wouldn't so they hit him with the pistol."

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office said that man wasn't badly hurt. Judy said he has a knot on his head, but is going to be ok.

It's still unclear how much money the two men got away with or where they took off to, but Judy said they didn't take the one thing that matters the most.

"The money isn't what matters. The important thing is they're safe."

Three employees at Duke's BBQ were robbed at gun point Saturday night around 9:45.

The victims told police that two men approached them with a gun and demanded money. One employee was struck in the head but did not require medical attention. The suspects fled from the scene with only personal items taken from employees.
