Advance voting available for Nov. 5 election

Richmond County voters eligible to cast their ballots in the Nov. 5 general municipal and special election can vote in advance.

Saturday voting will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Board of Elections main office at 530 Greene St.

Starting Monday, the hours for advance voting will be extended to 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Board of Election main office will be the only advance voting site.

Only citizens who live in the City of Blythe and in Georgia State Representative District 127 are eligible to vote in this election.

All voters voting in person must provide one of the six acceptable forms of photo identification, but do not have to provide a reason for voting.

Sample ballots will be available at all voting sites or may be previewed on the Georgia Secretary of State's My Voter Page at mvp.sos.state.ga.us.

Voting by mail is also available through Nov. 1. For more information, please contact the Richmond County Board of Elections Office at 706-821-2340.
