Man wanted in 2 Aiken County armed carjackings

A 49-year-old man is wanted for two armed carjackings in Aiken County, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

John Henry Blocker, 49, is the suspect in a carjacking at the Bi-Lo in Clearwater, S.C. and in another carjacking on Outing Club Road, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies say Blocker stole a woman's car at about 6:20 p.m. Sunday from the parking lot of the Bi-Lo in Clearwater.

The woman told deputies that when she parked her car near the entrance of the store, a man approached her, pointed a gun at her and told her to get out of the car. The man then drove off in the car.

The woman's car is a gold 2000 Nissan Maxima with S.C. license plate IIA739.

Blocker is also a suspect in a carjacking that happened on Oct. 13 on Outing Club Road, according to the sheriff's office. On Oct. 15, deputies issued warrants in Blocker's name for carjacking and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Additional warrants for carjacking and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime have been issued in Blocker's name for the incident at Bi-Lo.

Officers say Blocker should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Blocker can call the sheriff's office at 803-648-6811 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
