Fired Richmond Co. deputy won't get his job back

A Richmond County deputy who was fired in August after being accused of using excessive force against a 15-year-old won't get his job back.

Brian McDuffie was fired by Sheriff Richard Roundtree after the sheriff's department said he used excessive force when he beat a 15-year-old with his flashlight in August

McDuffie appealed Roundtree's decision, but the merit board deliberated McDuffie's appeal and decided to uphold the sheriff's decision.
