Congressional study: Plant Vogtle issued 75 safety violations

WAYNESBORO, GA (WFXG) -

Plant Vogtle has been cited 75 times for safety violations since 2000, according to a congressional study.

The study by the Government Accountability Office will most likely be released later this month.

The report shows a drastic difference in the volume of safety violations at nuclear plants across the country.

The report says the differences could stem from policies that aren't enforced across the board.
