SkyFest postponed due to government shutdown

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The 21st Annual Boshears SkyFest is being postponed due to the government shutdown.

The air show, originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, has been moved to April 26 and 27.

The Federal Aviation Administration has to approve air shows that include aerobatics, but parts of the FAA are affected by the government shutdown. The waiver for the Boshears SkyFest is still sitting on a desk at the FAA, organizers for the event said.

All advanced tickets purchased will be refunded. Contact Augusta Aviation at 706-733-8970 for more information about refunds.
