AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Lane closures on two Augusta-area roads will continue this week for road work.
One lane on each side of Deans Bridge Road at the I-520 overpass will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, weather permitting, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
One lane on Wrighsboro Road between Belair and Maddox roads will also closed again this week for paving.
Flagmen may be used for this work. Drivers are asked to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones.
The work on Deans Bridge Road/US 1/State Route 4 is part of the $29.8 million federal project consisting of 4.7 miles of widening and reconstruction on I-520. The road work stretches from Deans Bridge Road to Gordon Highway.
It includes the construction of two bridges on I-520/SR 415 over Deans Bridge Road/US 1/SR 4.
