AIKEN, SC (WFXG) -

Two teens were arrested Friday and charged in the burglary of a home in the Houndslake Subdivision, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.

Officers say Jamal Raheem Richardson, 17, of Aiken and a 16-year-old boy broke into a home on Whitemarsh Drive Tuesday. Investigators say they may have been soliciting door-to-door for yard work or similar employment.

Richardson was arrested around 10:30 a.m. Friday when officers were patrolling the Aiken Estates neighborhood, according to ADPS. Officers found the 16-year-old at an apartment complex a short time later.

The two teens are each charged with second-degree burglary and grand larceny. Richardson is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center. The 16-year-old is being held at the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia, SC.
