Man arrested on sex trafficking charges

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

A 29-year-old man is facing sex trafficking charges after two people in Augusta told Richmond County deputies they were being forced into prostitution, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the Motel 6 at 201 Boy Scout Road at about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday after complaints of drug activity, loitering and prostitution, according to the sheriff's office.

Earthell Tyler III of Columbia, SC was arrested and charged with two counts of sex trafficking after deputies took statements from the two victims, according to the sheriff's office.

Tyler is being held at the Richmond County Jail.
