DOT to close lanes for road work

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The Georgia Department of Transportation will be closing several lanes this week for utility and road work this week.

Here are the closures:

 

Where: Wrightsboro Road between Belair Road and Maddox Road

When: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday  (weather permitting)

What: single-lane closure for utility work

 

Where: State Route 4 southbound outside lane at the Interstate 520 overpass

When: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday  through Friday (weather permitting)

What: single-lane closure

 

Where: State Route 4 northbound alternating outside and inside lanes from Kipling Road to Augusta Tech Drive

When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday (weather permitting)

What: Single-lane closure. Flagmen may be used for this work. Motorists are asked to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones.
