Inmate who escaped from Jenkins Co. Jail in custody

JENKINS COUNTY, GA (WFXG) - An inmate who escaped from the Jenkins County Jail Wednesday night is back in custody.

Deputies caught Michael Middleton, 24, at about 5:50 a.m. Friday in a house on Gay Street in Millen with family members, according to the sheriff's office.

Middleton is now being charged with escape, deputies said. He was in court Wednesday afternoon for two armed robbery charges.
