AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - EMS First Responder Keith Clary revved his engine Saturday for the 'Never Forget Memorial Motorcycle Ride.'
The ride helped keep fallen friends in his thoughts.
"Being in the fire/EMS field for over 20 years, it really hits home. I've had some near and dear to me lost and it really helps."
Clary and the many other riders are remembering 79 police, fire and EMS first responders, fallen CSRA heroes who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Christian Motorcyclist Association member Nathan Jones said, "It gave me chills down my spine riding down the road. It feels great."
The ride was put on by a crisis management team for first responders, called Support 1.
Co-founder Michael Ford said they support those first responders on the front lines and family and friends who often deal with emotional trauma after a crisis situation.
Ford said, "Last year's ride raised us just over 2,000 dollars. We're going to be close to the same amount, if not a little more this year."
