NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say a car belonging to an elderly North Adams woman found slain in her home this week has been recovered in Vermont.
According to a statement Friday from Berkshire District Attorney David Capeless, the blue 2005 Ford Taurus registered to 84-year-old Ellen DePaoli was found Thursday afternoon in Bennington, Vt.
It is less than 20 miles between the towns.
The vehicle has been towed back to Massachusetts where investigators are processing it for possible evidence.
DePaoli was found dead in her home at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
An autopsy determined that the woman's death was a homicide, but authorities have not released a cause of death.
There has been no word on arrests.
