TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

An overnight fire destroyed an east Toledo home in the 400 block of Thurston, near Mason.

The fire broke out around 1:00 a.m. Friday. Flames were shooting out of the roof when fire crews pulled up to the scene. A thick cloud of smoke covered the entire neighborhood.

Crews on scene say the vacant house was one fire a few months ago.

Demolition crews were called in to tear down what remained of the house. Arson investigators were called to the scene. No other homes were damaged.
