DELHI TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Officers say a 13-year veteran of the Delhi Police Department was found dead Thursday morning.

The police department first received a call about an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, responders found 36-year-old Robert W. Buhrlage deceased.

The Hamilton County Coroner's Office was called to the scene and is now conducting an autopsy to determine a cause of death. While foul play is not suspected, police say Buhrlage's death remains under investigation pending the autopsy report.

Police say he did not have any ongoing illnesses they knew of. Buhrlage grew up in the area and was a graduate of Oak Hills High School.

A family friend tells FOX19 he ran the Flying Pig Marathon in honor of 4-year-old Austin Doll, the child of a close friend who died of a head injury several years ago.

They say he also participated in a number of other fundraising events in Austin's memory.
