KINGMAN, AZ (CBS5) -

Sheriff's deputies deployed a Taser when a child molestation suspect resisted arrest, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said.

Joseph Fellows, 27, of Kingman, was handcuffed Thursday morning without further incident and taken to the Mohave County Jail.

According to a sheriff's report, Fellows was apprehended on a felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court for attempt to commit sexual conduct with a minor, molestation of a child and two counts of sexual conduct with a minor under age 12 per domestic violence.

Authorities launched an investigation on March 30 looking into allegations of a sexual abuse incident allegedly involving Fellows.

The incident allegedly occurred on March 28 while Fellows was watching his relatives, ages 5, 6 and 8, at a home in the 3900 block of Devlin Avenue.

Detectives forwarded the case to the Mohave County Attorney's Office.

Fellows was arrested around 12:45 a.m. at a home in the 3100 block of East Potter Avenue.
