Georgia Power pays customers to recycle old refrigerators

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Georgia Power is offering $50 to customers who recycle working secondary refrigerators or freezers.

The company will pick up your old refrigerator or freezer and recycle it for free through its EarthCents Refrigerator Recycling Program - and they'll give you a check for $50.

The secondary refrigerator or freezer must be empty and working at the time of pickup.
