ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) -

Police in Rock Hill say a man was robbed in a cemetery while visiting his deceased girlfriend.

According to a Rock Hill Police Report, officers were called to the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour on Caldwell Street on Saturday to the report of an armed robbery.

When they arrived on scene, officers met with a 24-year-old man who had been robbed. The man told officers he was at the cemetery visiting his deceased girlfriend.

That's when someone jumped the cemetery fence and approached the man with a small silver pistol. The gunman then demanded the victim give him money.

According to police, the 24-year-old man gave him a $100 bill from his back pocket.  The gunman then reportedly asked the man for his cell phone.

After seeing the man's phone, the gunman said "I don't even want that piece of [expletive] phone," the report states.

Police say robber then jumped the fence and ran down the street.

A 14-year-old was later spotted by a police officer and was identified by the victim. He was arrested in the case but police say he was released after an investigation showed he was not the suspect in the crime.

The case remains under investigation.
