Annual college fair attracts thousands

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Students and parents from all over the CSRA received a head start on the future by attending the annual CSRA College Night, Thursday evening.

Junior and seniors had the opportunity to meet recruiters from over 140 colleges and universities and had a chance to win scholarships.

Students learned about the different admissions requirements and got all their questions answered.

"I think the biggest thing for any student going into college, what they really should be looking at, is going to the university itself," said Richard Harley an undergraduate admissions counselor for the University of South Carolina. "Seeing the campus and also talking to their admissions counselors, because they have a lot of great information and we're always willing to help students find out anything about the university."

"The main this is finding out where you fit in at whatever university you want to go to."

This is the 20th year for the CSRA college fair.
