Border Bash celebrates 20th anniversary Friday

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Border Bash will celebrate its 20th anniversary when the event kicks off Friday at the Augusta Common.

This year's commemoration of the long-standing rivalry between the Georgia Bulldogs and the South Carolina Gamecocks will feature performances from the Atlanta band Blackberry Smoke and the Joe Stevenson Band.

University of Georgia and University of South Carolina cheerleaders and mascots will also make appearances.

Gates open at 4 p.m., and the event lasts from 5 to 9 p.m.

General admission tickets are on sale now at and at Hooters, Communigraphics and Circle K locations. General Admission tickets are just $10 in advance, $15 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. VIP tickets, which include preferred viewing, food and drinks are available for $50 (adults) and $10 (children) online only.
