A water main break caused part of a road to collapse in Newtown.
It happened Thursday afternoon in the 3300 block of Riverhills Drive.
A water main at the top of the hilly street broke, causing water to flow into the low point of the street. The water pooled, threatening to enter a nearby home, but in the end, the home sustained no damage.
It took crews several hours to fix the water main break and clear water off of the road. There is no word yet on when the area will be repaired.
