Scholarships offered to students attending 'CSRA College Night'

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - High school students will have an opportunity to meet recruiters from more than 150 colleges and universities and win scholarships totaling approximately $15,000 at CSRA College Night.

The event is scheduled for 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the James Brown Arena in Augusta. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.

"Nearly the entire floor of the arena is filled with information booths manned by recruiters representing colleges and universities from throughout the U.S.," said Gladys Moore, Talent and Education Outreach, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions.

"Last year more than 6,000 CSRA students, parents and guidance counselors visited information booths, quizzed university representatives and participated in a special seminar on National Collegiate Guidelines," Moore said. "Even the primary walkways are filled with college reps."
