(RNN) - An eagle that was part of a chapel service at Oral Roberts University ran into a, shall we say barrier, as he flew around to the brief delight of the crowd.

Excited chants of "USA, USA" quickly turned to sickening groans of horror as the bird flew beak-first into a window and tumbled to the floor.

YouTube user Lucas Cherry captured the mishap, and it looked worse than it really was.

"Lewis" escaped the incident without a scratch, as was later confirmed in a video the school released.

The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles - who you may remember have made a few appearances in the NCAA Tournament - were holding the service to kick off their fall semester.

Unfortunately, Lewis can't speak for himself. But if he could he might be the only one to criticize the crystal clarity of the windows in the ORU chapel.
