Metro officer injured serving warrants

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Metro police officer was injured while arresting a man wanted on 12 outstanding warrants.

The officer was attempting to serve the warrants on Deangelo Oldham in an alley off 16th Avenue North.

Police said Oldham then put the car in reverse with his girlfriend and two 1-year-old kids in the backseat and rammed into a police cruiser parked behind him.

The officer, who was not identified, injured his foot during the ordeal.

Police said they found crack cocaine in the car and drug paraphernalia in the children's diaper bag.

Oldham faces child endangerment charges, a charge for hurting the officer and drug charges.

The suspect's girlfriend, Marquita Kinnear, was also arrested on a drug charge.
