WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

A 10-mile delay has been reported on Interstate 84 east in Waterbury after a tractor-trailer jackknifed early Tuesday morning.

Officials said the tractor-trailer jackknifed between exits 22 and 23 on the eastbound side of the highway around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, and as of 8 a.m. delays have been reported to exit 16.

Officials asked drivers to avoid the area if possible and to seek an alternate route.

At this point, police have not released any details about possible injuries.
