AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Hyde Park residents are moving out. City Commissioners voted 'yes' to relocating families from the area, after flooding, drainage issues and even contamination didn't stop.
Commissioner Corey Johnson says any day now, around twenty of those homeowners should be re-located.
The plan now is to build a retention pond where the homes currently sit.
All residents will be put in the same size homes they were in before.
Commissioner Johnson also says about 90 percent of the residents are ready to go, but 10 percent are not.
