Police searching for man in Beech Island stabbing

BEECH ISLAND, SC (WFXG) - Police release new details in a Beech Island stabbing.

The Aiken County Sheriff's office says the victim is 35 year-old Leroy Larid.

He is in stable condition, after a white male stabbed him Thursday night in the left shoulder and took off into the woods.

Authorities say they are still looking for that man.

The suspect approached Larid asking for money. But Larid refused. That's when authorities say he was stabbed.

A Midland Valley Fireman found him covered in blood on the side of the road, sometime around 9P.M.

The suspect is being described as a bald, white male wearing blue jeans.
