AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Crawford Creek woke up to a mess this morning. More than four inches of rain dumped on the area in less than two hours Sunday night.

"Crawford subdivision had quite a bit of rain that came over and went completely over their bridge and it was hard to get in and out of the neighborhood,"Riverkeeper Tonya Bonitatibus said.

But she says this isn't the last of the mess we could see.

"I think we're forecasted for a couple more inches in the next couple of days, but we'll see."

All the water brings pests, too. "Our mosquitos and our bugs are just awful this year. That's not going to stop as long as this weather continues."

Bonitatibus says watch yourself near the Savannah River, too.

"It's calm. Calmer than it was a few weeks ago, but it's still moving very, very swiftly so please wear a life jacket."
