Deputies say he's been on the run since Saturday, after shooting Julian Hamilton in the stomach and the leg.

Investigators tell us Hamilton and Boyd have a past. And the shooting wasn't random.

"There is some form of relationship between the suspect and the victim. From what I understand, they had some kind of falling out."

Lt. Lewis Blanchard, Richmond County Sheriff's office, said "A person riding a bicycle came up fired the shots. The victim was struck in the leg and struck in the stomach"

Police now say the shooter is 17 year old Jamel Boyd.

"We do know the suspect does know the victim, so there's a little more to the story."
