Barrow to host "Congress on the Corner" in Burke and Screven Counties

BURKE COUNTY, GA (WFXG) -

U.S. Congressman John Barrow (GA-12) will host "Congress on the Corner" in Burke and Screven Counties. Congressman Barrow regularly holds these town hall-style meetings to talk one-on-one with constituents and give them updates on the work he's doing on their behalf. Members of Congressman Barrow's staff will also be available to help anyone with problems they may be having with a government agency, such as the Social Security Administration, Medicare, the Veterans Administration, or to help address any other issues.

To date, Congressman Barrow has held "Congress on the Corner" in all 19 counties of the 12th Congressional District since the start of the 113th Congress in January.  Congressman Barrow is beginning his second round of town hall-style meetings during the August District Work Period. Congressman Barrow will also hold "Congress on the Corner" in four additional counties, Coffee, Jeff Davis, Appling, and Tattnall, on August 31, 2013.  More information on those, and other, events is available by clicking here.

"Folks should never have to travel far to meet with their Congressman, so we make it a habit of getting out in the community to talk with folks," said Congressman Barrow.  "I'm looking forward to visiting with 12th District residents, and encourage folks to join us at one of our stops this weekend."
