AGAWAM, MA (WSHM) -

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is urging those, who may have come in contact with a skunk at Six Flags New England in Agawam, to seek medical attention.

According to the DPH, a skunk bit a woman, while she was at the park July 31.

That skunk was taken to a lab, and tested positive for rabies.

The DPH is urging anyone, who visited the park and was bitten or scratched by a skunk between July 21 and July 31, to contact their healthcare provider immediately, as they may have been exposed to rabies.

Anyone with questions or needing more information on this, is asked to contact the DPH, Division of Epidemiology and Immunization at 617-983-6800.
