14 News is learning the woman at the center of the latest Anthony Weiner sexting scandal is reportedly from the Tri-State.
Multiple national news outlets have pinpointed Sydney Elaine Leathers of Princeton, Indiana as the woman who former congressman Anthony Weiner texted explicit images to.
Now, there are calls for Weiner to drop out of the New York mayoral race.
Buzzfeed.com identifies Leathers as a 23-year-old activist. According to Leathers' Twitpic page, Leathers was a field organizer for the Obama for America campaign.
On Wednesday, our crew went to Leathers' home in Princeton, but we did not receive an answer when we knocked on the door.
Many of Leathers' online accounts have either been deleted or hidden. Her Twitter account is open to only confirmed followers and her Facebook profile is nowhere to be found.
