Greyhound bus crashes in Gallatin Co.

GALLATIN COUNTY, KY (FOX19) -

Two people were taken to the hospital after a Greyhound bus crashed in Gallatin County on Monday morning.

It happened around 10:15 a.m. on northbound Interstate 71 at the 68 mile marker, according to GC Video News. Deputies say 52-year-old Willie Marsh of Birmingham, Alabama was driving the bus on its way to Chicago.

Marsh came up to stopped traffic caused by a separate crash and had to drive on an embankment behind a guardrail to avoid hitting vehicles in front of the bus.

About 30 passengers were on the bus. Two people were taken to the hospital with back injuries that were non life-threatening.

The rest were taken by a bus provided by the Gallatin County School District to meet another Greyhound bus.
