AHWATUKEE, AZ (CBS5) -

More than 129,000 pounds of storm debris has been collected by Ahwatukee city workers following Monday night's storm.

The city's solid waste customer contact center hotline has gotten 90 storm-related calls.

Residents can take their leafy debris and dump it in any of the 27 roll-off bins throughout affected neighborhoods.  Crews will be emptying the bins frequently as the cleanup efforts continue until Friday, July 26.

Residents can go to phoenix.gov/publicworks for an updated list of locations where the roll-off bins have been placed.

The department has added four bulk trash crews and extra field staff. Residents who don't have the ability to carry a load of green waste to a nearby roll-off bin can leave their green waste debris at the curb.

Bulk trash crews will collect uncontained green waste from Monday, July 22, to Thursday, July 25. Residents must have all their green waste in their trash bins or at the curb by Wednesday, July 24.

Crews will only collect green organics waste such as tree branches, leaves and grass.

On Saturday, the Street Transportation Department will have 12 street sweepers clearing the affected areas in conjunction with bulk trash collection. The city also is organizing a volunteer clean-up event from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 20, in various locations in Ahwatukee.
