SOLON, OH (WOIO) -

A Solon standoff is over after FBI agents entered the home to find the suspect gone.

The standoff with the CEO of Taupa Lithuanian Credit Union, Alex Spirikaitis, barricaded himself inside his home off Aurora Road late Tuesday after agents showed up to serve a warrant. The warrant is for "false credit institution entries," which is similar to bank fraud.

Around 11:30 Wednesday, agents entered the home and discovered it empty. The FBI is not sure where Spirikaitis is at this time.

Spirikaitis was the CEO of the credit union on East 185th in Cleveland.  State officials issued an order on Friday effectively closing the credit union and beginning the liquidation process.

Spirikaitis is described as 5'11", approximately 225 lbs, green eyes and bald. He is known to wear a goatee, and his facial hair may have changed.

Tips regarding Spirikaitis can be provided to the Cleveland office of the FBI at 216-522-1400. Tips can remain anonymous. Reward money is available for information leading to the successful apprehension and prosecution of Spirikaitis.
