Aiken County investigators searching for robbery suspect

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation of a strong armed robbery that occurred on Thursday.

The Sheriff's Office received an robbery-hold up alarm notification and 911 call from the clerk of the Kent's Korner located at 2557 Wagener Road in Aiken.

The clerk and a witness that was also at the store informed responding deputies that the suspect reached over the counter when the register was open and stole an unknown amount of money. 

The clerk and witness described the suspect as a White male, approximately 6' 2"-6'3", black hair, dark eyes, wearing dark brown jacket, tan shorts and tattoos about the face and neck.

The suspect was also describe to have had a Band-Aid over his left eye.

Prior to deputies arriving on scene, the suspect fled in a white SUV towards the Couchton Area.
