A traffic stop in West Ashley led to the arrest of a Georgia fugitive and meth charges for two other people.
The Charleston Police Department charged 38-year-old Robert Watts of Augusta, Ga. with possession with intent to distribute and manufacturing methamphetamine. Authorities also charged 35-year-old Tracy Wheeler Stubblefield of Augusta, Ga. with possession of methamphetamine, and 30-year-old Shanna Louann Quick of Hephzibah who is wanted in Georgia for a burglary probation violation.
On Friday night, officers saw a car with a partially flat tire travel outside its designated lane twice on Savannah Highway. Authorities then stopped the vehicle and asked the driver, Stubblefield, for her driver's license and registration.
Police say during the conversation with Stubblefield, officers spotted in plain view a 12 ounce can of beer on the driver's side floor board.
Investigators then asked Stubblefield and her passengers, Quick and Watts, to get out of the vehicle. An NCIC check revealed that Quick had an outstanding warrant out of Georgia for a burglary probation violation.
A police report states that officers found crystal methamphetamine and several items used for the production of meth in the suspects' vehicle.
