Dollar Tree employees robbed at gunpoint in Columbia Twp.

COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Police are investigating an overnight armed robbery at a Dollar Tree in Columbia Township.

The incident happened just before 11:00 p.m. on Thursday in the 5200 block of Ridge Road.

Authorities say that two suspects approached three store employees as they were locking up the business. The suspects displayed handguns and ordered the employees back into the business.

Once inside, the suspects ordered the employees into the office and demanded money. The employees complied and the suspects left the business with an undetermined amount of U.S. currency.

Both suspects have been described as black males in their mid-twenties.

The suspects were last seen leaving in a white sedan, possibly a Buick Regal, in an unknown direction.

The incident remains under investigation.
