Alabama National Fair announces 2013 lineup

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Organizers for the Alabama National Fair, set for October, are wasting no time in putting together a stable of acts for 2013.

Scheduled to perform on Saturday, October 5 is country music star Josh Turner.

On Sunday, October 6, the featured act will be Anthony Hamilton.

The band Foreigner will take the stage on Sunday, October 12.

Also new for 2013, organizers are setting up the Aussie Kingdom, where fairgoers can interact with different species of marsupials (pouched animals) like kangaroos and wallabies.

There's also a Swampmaster's Gator Show where the Swampmaster will catch an 8 foot, 200 lb. alligator with his bare hands.

2013 will be the 60th year of the Alabama National Fair and is put on by the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery.
